Fees range from $100.00 - $400.00 for one-hour to four-hour programs

Establish a Movement with Meaning
Program

Movement with Meaning: A Multisensory Program for Individuals with Early-Stage Alzheimer’s
|
|
#2 Immerse participants in a choreography of short, repetitive
exercises that stimulate physical, mental, and sensory awareness by combining gentle
dance movements, yoga inspired poses, breathing exercises with music, poetry, and
specific sensory activities.
|
Through discussion and hands-on activities, professionals will learn to:
- interview & select participants
- arrange the environment for a Movement with Meaning class
- develop a sequence of repetitive activities with specific props & materials
- incorporate a thematic thread throughout each 30 minute class
- create a natural, organic rhythm within the framework of the five segments
- use the senses as avenues for communicating & connecting with people in early-stage
Alzheimer’s disease

#3 Encouragement and practical, hands-on tools are
what you need as someone who is caring for a loved one with a memory impairment.
Movement with Meaning is designed to help address your specific circumstances and
find practical ways to thrive by learning to:

- understand how memory loss (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Traumatic Brain Injury, Lewy
Bodies, stroke, etc.) affects a person
- communicate effectively with your loved one
- arrange the environment to support everyday activities
- build on loved ones’ remaining strengths & abilities by incorporating stimulating
activities using all five senses
- navigate community & personal resources for your mental, physical, & emotional
well being
- explore issues of grief & ambiguous loss
- enhance opportunities for family involvement

One-time initial assessment fee is $100.00. All
other fees are based on a $50.00 hourly rate
|
